Verdi by Janell Cannon - A great story about a green tree python who doesn't want to turn green (they hatch yellow). The author even got advice from a herpetologist.

Stellaluna by Janell Cannon - A very cute story about a fruit bat who gets separated from her mum and lands in a birds nest. Mumma bird agree's to look after her teaching her the essence of friendship.

Bug Safari by Bob Barner - A boy follows a line of ants, learning all sorts of ant things the way.

The Very Hungry Catterpillar by Eric Carle - The story of a catterpillar hatching and eventually turning into a beautiful butterfly.

Mister Seahorse by Eric Carle - Mrs Seahorse gives her eggs to Mr Seahorse to look after but before they hatch he visits his friends to see how they look after their young.

Wonderful Worms by Linda Glaser - Learn all about worms and how they help the Earth.

OK, so a lot of my fave's are about creatures but i just love these ones so much as they're factual and educational for the children as well as cute and fun.
